Keith Rose co-founded Velocity Films in 1990 with Barry Munchick, a droll New Yorker.
He is one of a select few commercials directors to be inducted into the Clio TV Hall of Fame. Keith has worked with some of advertising’s best minds and over a span of years has consistently won awards at every major show including several Cannes Gold Lions. Most recently, he was selected by Shots as one of their “100 Top Creative Minds of All Time”, while being accredited by Campaign magazine to be among the top five directors globally. Keith has a keen sense for architecture as is evident from the building that he owns on Keerom Street, Cape Town and which he transformed into the current head-office for Velocity Films. My camera would be drawn to the sacred moments where the sunlight pierced the window frames to illuminate the unseen creative spirits that dwell in the gathering spaces, otherwise meant for the humans that work at Velocity Films.
If you would pause and observe, you may catch a glimpse as they converse and dream and create... and perhaps you could take part and tap into beauty that is the human creative spirit.
