Besides my photography, my entrepreneurial spirit has recognized the need to develop businesses that add value and which can generate funds to help fuel my bigger dreams and aspirations. The one is Cinemuse, an independent cinema, that enables South African audiences to develop a wider lens on society, by utilizing a cinema as a catalyst for self reflection and healthy discourse. The other is a network marketing business with an extraordinary company, called Mannatech. Mannatech's vision is to help eradicate the global epidemic of childhood malnutrition. They produce a breakthrough real food supplement and match every consumer to a malnourished child in a feeding program. This business model is called social entrepreneurship and aims to democratize wealth and the consumption of important nutrition, usually reserved for the elite.
In May 2014 a number of the South African associates had the privilege to travel to Dallas, Texas, all expenses paid, and celebrate Mannatech's 20 year anniversary. We experienced a life changing event with guest speakers such as, Jason Lester, ESPN mail athlete of the year, Darren Hardy, publisher of success magazine and Dr Rob Sinnot, chairman of the Counsel for Responsible Nutrition, and CEO of Mannatech.
Jason Lester has committed to be the first person to run the length of the Great Wall of China to create awareness for the company's Mission to fight malnutrition. This means he has to average a marathon every day for 70 days! Read more m5mrun.com
Below are some of our enthusiastic team members who got to enjoy the ride.
