What does it all mean? What is the meaning of life? These are the great pseudo questions of religion and philosophy, and I suspect that you have asked them as well.
We’ve been told that in the absence of a meaningful answer, there is a great void in our lives that must be filled with something: An idea, a myth or a person. But what if this was an imaginary problem? What if it is an illusion or story we’ve told ourselves for millennia?
If there is no void, then that would mean, that the present moment is enough. The mystery of being is enough. Doubt is enough. You, as you are, are enough. But what would the future hold? That’s an exciting question.
I believe, today, humanity has an opportunity to tell a better story. A story about a future that we are responsible for, not an external, unseen entity. We are empowered with science, reason and compassionate conversation to craft a narrative that can ensure a better future for all.
