I have observed that people who seem to be in a state of perpetual equanimity, are more often than not, those who embrace endings. This could be the ending of a relationship, a friendship, or an idea that was once held dear. These folk seem to identify the imminence of endings in the same way that we identify the impending signs of the change of seasons.
They also seem to have the wisdom to recognise, that it’s not necessarily the complete cessation of the relationship, the friendship or the idea, but its transformation, or even… it’s transfiguration.
Their ability to embrace endings allows them to act proactively and nurture its transformation through autumn and through winter, until spring blooms with the promise of new life.
